Cassandra Cowl, Infinity Scarf, Free Crochet Pattern





Welcome Fall in this quick and easy crochet pattern. Worked in a bulky yarn, it lends itself to a multitude of combinations. If you plan on making crocheted items for holiday gifts, this would make a great addition to your inventory. After all, isn't a handmade gift always unique compared to what you buy from stores? Gift handmade this season. I hope you enjoy the free pattern. 

Materials
1. Bulky (size 5) yarn, Loops and Threads Charisma in colors Fuchsia (color A) and Taupe( color B).
2. Hook- P (10 mm)
3. Hook H (5mm) for weaving in the tails

Size
One size fits all women. Finished Scarf is 12 inches wide and 34 inches around.

Gauge
5 hdc st alternating with 5 chains = 5 inches

Yardage
80-90 yards of each color.

Stitch Abbreviations
Pattern is in standard American terms.
hdc- half double crochet
sl st
ch- chain
sk- skip

Pattern

Chain 70, sl st to first ch without twisting the chain.

Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first hdc and ch 1), sk next ch, *(1 hdc in next, ch 1, sk next ch), repeat from * till end, sl st to top of beginning ch-2, pick up the next color B, drop the first color A to pick up later, sl st in to the next ch-space with the new color joined. ---------35 hdc

Round 2: Ch 3 with color B (counts as first hdc and ch 1), sk next hdc, * (1 hdc into the next ch-space, ch 1, sk next hdc), repeat from * till end of round, sl st to top of beginning ch-2, pick up color A, drop color B to pick up later, sl st in to the next ch-space with color A. ---------35 hdc

Repeat Round 2 above, alternating colors in each round, until your scarf measures 12 inches wide. Fasten off after sl st to top of beginning ch-2 and weave in the tails.

Lace Storage Basket, Bread Basket, Crochet Pattern



This crochet basket can be used as a bread basket or as a storage basket. It is worked using 2 strands of worsted weight yarn and a sc stitch variation which makes it sturdy. You can add more rounds to the base and the sides if you want to make it bigger.

Materials
1. Worsted weight yarn in 2 colors. 2 strands of Loops and Threads Impeccable in color Abror Rose was used for the main basket, and Red Heart soft was used for the lace.

2. Hook K (6.5mm) was used for the body of the basket and hook I (5.5mm) for the lace.

3.Yarn needle to weave in the ends.

Finished Size
9 inches in diameter and 3 ½ inches high

May Sandals, Crochet Pattern for Baby Booties, 0-6 and 6-12 months













Make this cute sandals this summer. They look delicate and pristine just like your little ones. It would look great with a dress or a skirt and will be a perfect accessory for sunny days. All your crochet projects don't have to be for the winter, do they? We crocheters can't be separated from our hook and yarn even in the hot months, and that is why I love designing summer patterns. Sweet Delight Baby Bee yarn (DK) was used for making the upper part of these sandals. They come in a wide range of colors and was the right thickness for the design.  

* Pattern is written in Standard American Terms

* The pattern comes in 2 sizes, 0-6 and 6-12 months. 0-6 months is 3.75 inches long, and 6-12 months is 4.25 inches long.

* Pattern uses an F (3.75mm) hook.

* Worsted weight yarn (size 4) is used for the soles and DK (size 3) is used for the upper. Sweet Delight Baby Bee Yarn was used for the the samples.

*The upper is worked directly on to the sole and there is no sewing involved.
