Arianna Headband, Free Crochet Pattern for Spring

I have been undergoing a bit of crafter's block lately. May be it is the weather which makes me sleepy all the time. My never ending stream of ideas suddenly seem to have disappeared in to oblivion. I guess it happens to the best of the creative folks and all you can do is give it time and hope that this too shall pass. I read somewhere that when you feel like quitting think why you started. I started crocheting for the love of flowers and am sharing this headband and flower with you in the hope that it will cheer up my soul and get those creative juices flowing again.

The crochet pattern can be customized to fit any size head. It uses worsted weight yarn and hooks H (5mm) and F (3.75mm). I used Lily Sugar n Cream cotton for the band and acrylic yarn for the flowers. You will find many uses for the flower, add it to a clutch, a hat or use it as a brooch.

Floral Bag, Granny Square Bag, Free Crochet pattern

This bag would  make an amazing Spring or Summer accessory.  It's just a little bigger than a normal clutch and would go well with any dress. This crochet pattern uses granny squares which are then joined together to create the unique shape of the bag. I have decided to make it free for my blog readers.

The dimensions of the completed bag are 15 inches at the widest part and 9 1/2 inches from top of the handle to bottom of the bag. It's worked using worsted weight yarn in 5 different colors and a size H (5 mm) crochet hook. I used Red Heart Super Saver and Vanna's choice for the bag in the picture. Pattern includes instructions for lining the bag as well.
